My name is Paula Roberts. My story is a bit unusual. I was born and raised in DooDah , (Kansas) When I married, my husband moved us to New Mexico, that's when I fell in love with Jewelry.
My In-laws, (Tom & Betty ) owned a ski shop in Red River New Mexico ,(The Pioneer Shop ), and in off season they would sell Native American jewelry. I especially loved Turquoise! My father in law Tom was a Silver Smith and would do jewelry repair on the side . After they retired my Mother in law Betty still had a huge amount of the jewelry. I remember her and I drinking wine and putting on every single piece she had , it was so much fun, and I miss her dearly. We always had a wonderful time together. When we received news that my Father in law had Cancer and wasn't expected to live, he told me that if I would learn Silver Smithing he would give me his shop. On his death bed I presented him with a ring I had made and told him we were now going steady. So this is where my adventure began. With the help and encouragement from my wonderful husband who has provided me with the drive to continue my dream of creating beautiful pieces of Jewelry/Art. My goal is to make one of a kind jewelry, well made and affordable. Because I Love Jewelry ! I hope you enjoy these pieces as much as I enjoyed making them !
