My husband met a man in Colorado that was what I would call a rock hound. He likes to look for rocks in dry creek beds because he could tell where they were from and how far they had traveled. He found these two in one of those dry beds, their Montana Agates. He takes them home and polishes them up and turns them into cabochons. So I traded him for some beautiful turquoise that was hard to part with, but I knew I had to turn this into a really cool piece.

When two Silver Smiths meet....

One of my biggest inspirations is my husband Steve. He has always made me feel that I can make anything work if I put my mind to it! He has been a big encouragement and a mentor to me ,because he was a Silver Smith long before me, and is always giving me tips on how to improve .

There and back again...

I have also been inspired by the many places I have been privileged to live. From the Deserts of New Mexico to the  beautiful awe inspiring Cascades, and Mountains of the state of Oregon .
New Mexico was truly the land of enchantment and where I really got interested in jewelry making. I fell in love with the Native American Jewelry the first time I laid eyes on it ! The craftsmanship and the time to make each piece so perfectly. I had to know more!
Oregon has a beauty of its own. That's where I really started picking up rocks off the ground and really looking at them . There is a place called the Obsidian Forrest , not that its a real Forrest but it is covered in volcanic rock that shins like black glass. I love the raw materials , Amber, Obsidian, Bone and Rocks, they are all a blank canvas!
